Prosperity Active Commodity fund
The Prosperity Active Commodity fund is an experienced investor fund that was launched in 2006 under Gibraltar law. It invests actively in the international commodity markets, primarily by way of exchange traded futures and options but also by means of exchange traded funds (ETFs) and certificates. Because of its low correlation with the bond and equity markets, this fund is a good instrument for risk diversification. The Prosperity Active Commodity fund is designed for inclusion in traditional portfolios to offset equity and bond market risk and to bring higher risk-adjusted performance for the portfolio as a whole. The weighting of the sectors (precious metals, ferrous metals, energy, agriculture) depends on fundamental assessments. At present, up to 50% of the portfolio is invested in precious metals. Preparations are under way to convert the gold portion into physical gold bars. The segements of ferrous metals, energy and agricultural goods make up the remaining 50% of the fund and are individually capped at 30% of the total portfolio. The entry and exit points are determined on the basis of fundamental and technical analyses. The investment ratio fluctuates between 80% and 100%.

Prosperity Futures profit participation certificate
The Prosperity Futures profit participation certificate was issued in 2001 under Austrian law. The taxation of these profit participation certificates changed in 2003. The certificates were therefore closed to new subscriptions. The advantage of this is that Prosperity Futures is tax free for private investors after one year and one day. The investment style of Prosperity Futures can be described as trend following or as a managed futures strategy with a very broad trading spectrum. It is not a traditional hedge fund.
Managed futures are still a relatively undiscovered asset class that enables investors to profit from over 150 financial and commodities markets, regardless of whether the prices are rising or falling. Management is handled by Superfund Trading Management Inc. This firm uses fully automated computer trading systems that function without outside intervention. Trading is restricted to a group of over 100 liquid futures and commodities exchanges in the USA, Europe and Asia. The sophisticated systems have been tested and proven over many years and are designed to recognise trends on the respective markets, whereby rising and falling trends can be used. Managed futures providers are also subject to supervision by the strictest regulatory authorities in the world (such as the SEC, CFTC, NFA and FINRA in the USA). This strict regulation is the reason for the financial stability of this asset class.
